Elles jouent aux cartes ou aux dames, à deux, trois ou quatre. Elles ont toutes les yeux baissés, comme lorsque je les installe autour d’une table pour un goûter ou que je les fais lire les unes à côté des autres, mais elles forment un groupe beaucoup plus uni. Elles n’ont plus l’air seules chacune dans leur coin.
THE PLAYERS
They play at cards or at checkers, two, three or four of them. Their eyes are lowered, as if I had sat them around the table for tea or to read next to each other, but they form a much more unified group. Though each is in her corner, she does not seem alone.
